Teacher Workshop and observation opportunity of Ronda Cole Tamara Theodosis and Martha Shackford will bring SAA violin teacher Ronda Cole (McLean, VA) to do a workshop with their students from February 22-24. OSA members may observe the student workshop for free. There will also be a teacher workshop on Sunday, February 24 from 2-6pm and the cost will be $110. Suzuki Student Play-In West Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Event Coordinator: Tayva Turner - Suzuki students and teachers: please join us for a fun play-in! This event is to help build our Oregon Suzuki community of students and teachers and to have fun playing music together. Students will play music and games led by Oregon Suzuki Association teachers. This event is open to students of all ages who can at least play the twinkles. We are looking for a piano coordinator so please email the event coordinator Tayva Turner ASAP if you can help with this event. Teachers: if you or your students have questions about the play-in please email the event coordinator yourself rather than having all your students contact her. There may quite a few families attending the event and we ask that teachers be in charge of contacting the coordinator about questions they or their students have in order to streamline the distribution of information to their Suzuki families. Also, if you are willing to help with leading pieces, checking students in the day of the event, helping with the craft table, or any other aspect of the event please contact the event coordinator. Suzuki Group Class Teacher Training The group class teacher training will apply mainly to violin and viola group classes, but teachers of all instruments are welcome. Please see the registration form below for more details. This class in an OSA sponsored event and participants must register for this course through the OSA. OSA Annual Fall Meeting Please make sure to attend this meeting to brainstorm 2006-2007 events. Please note teachers must be OSA members to attend this meeting. If you are interested in joining the OSA please print the registration form of off the OSA website and mail it in. We will also be accepting new registrations at the beginning of the Annual Fall Meeting, at the Summer Party, and also at the Suzuki group class training classes, and will have registration forms at each event. The meeting will be held immediately following the September 16 Suzuki Group Class Teacher Training. If you are taking the class please feel free to bring a sack lunch.
