Advancing the Suzuki Talent Education Method through
collaborative musical community & promoting excellence in teaching
We believe that all children are capable and deserving of becoming great musicians. We know that musical ability is not innate or inborn and that with the right support, every child can be successful.
We strive, as a group educators and teachers, to motivate students to become people of exceptional ability and build good character with kind hearts through music education.
We are a group of compassionate and caring teachers, students, parents, care-givers, and supportive musical community members committed to learning, growing, and listening.
We seek to advance the Suzuki Philosophy through community activities such as master classes, play-ins, student performances and workshops; and by coordinating, publicizing, & promoting Suzuki events with partnerships throughout the state of Oregon.
We promote the sharing of ideas between teachers by providing a community for Suzuki teachers to give support to one another and reflect on pedagogical practice to inspire their best possible teaching for every child and family in their studio.
We stand against racism and injustice seeking ways to bring diversity & inclusion into our communities by fostering musical opportunities and growth for all students and families with community studio events and classes.
